A few words from the chef and front of house.....

My name is Carlos Pitillas, I am the chef of this house, and together with Lola Colón in the restaurant, we run “Terral” of Gaucín.

Our building is over 100 years old and was recently refurbished into our elegant and stylish restaurant. In years gone by, before it closed in the late 50s, it was the old communal bakery of the village where neighbours came to bake their own bread.

After 15 years as the chef and owners of “A FUEGO LENTO” restaurant in Madrid (see our newspaper reviews here and here), we decided to move to this beautiful town to share my dishes and my style of cooking with our guests. I take great care and pride to make and prepare an exquisite selection of seasonal products. I cook them in a modern cuisine and play with side dishes, without losing sight of our roots and what we owe to traditional cooking, which we must always look towards as a source of inspiration.

So, our menu will change, depending on the time of year, to present the products that best fit each season.I would like to thank you in advance and I hope to make you feel at home and that you will enjoy our food and atmosphere at our restaurant.

My name is Lola Colón and I look forward to welcoming you to our restaurant.

We have a wide range of local and regional wines to suit every budget and I look forward to helping you make the best choices to accompany your meal.
